Scent is the most powerful memory trigger. Perfume is the indispensable compliment to your personality and the finishing touch to your outfit. Fragrance is an invisible part of our personal style, and it has a powerful effect on how people see and remember you. And that’s why this matter, gentlemen. A good fragrance offers numerous benefits, from making you more attractive, to helping you feel less stressed and more confident. Wearing a fragrance is a distinctive way of expressing yourself beyond the visual.
Smell – or a man’s scent – has been proven through experiments to be the No.1 factor for women when it comes to selecting a potential partner. What causes instant attraction between a man and a woman?
For men, visual is most important. For women – olfactory (smell) is most important. Women seem to be more driven by scent while attraction for men was driven by what they saw. However, women rate a man’s body smell as most important when choosing a potential partner. This probably explains why fragrance manufacturers and advertising firms spend billions convincing us that smelling better makes us more popular.
Fragrance adds to your overall impression of being a sharp, put-together man. We know that dressing well adds to your confidence. Wearing a fragrance enhances that feeling, as you’ll be confident that you not only look like a million bucks, but smell like it too.
LESS IS MORE. Fragrance should be discovered, not announced. People who are close by should be able to smell your fragrance, but not be overpowered by it.
SPRAY PERFUME ON DRY SKIN, preferably right after a shower.
START LIGHT. If you’re new to wearing fragrances, start with one single spray on your chest. As you become more comfortable and knowledgeable about how to wear fragrances, you can branch out to a few more sprays in different areas.
APPLY FRAGRANCE TO HEAT AREAS. Your body heat will enhance the scent throughout the day, creating your scent trail. Start with the warmest parts of your body: chest, neck, lower jaw, wrist, forearm, inner elbow, shoulder. Do not spray on all these points at the same time; start with one and then as you learn the scent, spray 2-3 other spots.
